The Reason Why You Wouldn’t Want to Learn Video-Making: Creating Videos Take Time!

Yep, it takes a long long time to make videos.

Planning takes time.

Writing the script takes time.

Storyboarding takes time.

Shooting, charging your gear, setting up, editing, finding the perfect music, retakes.. each process takes time.

But, the upside far outweighs the downside.

For over 15 years of making videos, one of the many pleasures I get is the reaction I see from the audience while watching.

From making the audience jump & cry out of fear from the horror movie I made with my teammates back then. The “Woah!” reactions from the new sci-fi effects I added. And down to being instantly recognized by the CEO of a 2,500-staff company who I met the first time when he visited our remote branch, “James, so you’re the one who made that company video!”, and continued to talk about how it made him tear up.

Okay, I’m gloating in the past (time to stop).

Your upsides would be different.

Yes, it takes time. But it will be worth it.
